Generating a token

There are 3 different kinds of tokens with a specific purpose:

  • Agent token: to allow Sealights' agents and plugins to access the relevant endpoint

  • Browser token: to enable displaying Sealights metrics in your browser via our extension

  • API token: to access Sealights Public API

 

You’ll find details about each token on dedicated pages:

 

All Tokens are revocable and rotated by the users with relevant permissions at any time per the Organization’s policies

  • Users with relevant permissions will have the appropriate action buttons for every token (delete or refresh/renew).

  • There is no Public API to create, update, or delete Tokens.
